If an employer wishes to terminate the employment of an individual they may seek to offer them a settlement agreement.
In order to be valid a settlement agreement requires the individual to be advised on the terms and effect of that settlement agreement. As a barrister, I am able to provide you with that advice.
Also, where instructed to do so, I will redraft the terms of any settlement agreement to make sure that they reflect the clauses that you feel comfortable signing up to. Or, if the term are too onerous, I will advise you in relation to your options in the event that you do not enter into the settlement agreement.
