I am authorised by the Bar Standards Board to accept instructions direct from companies and members of the public.

I am regulated by the Bar Standards Board.

The areas in which I undertake work are employment and discrimination law.

Most of my work is undertaken on a fixed fee basis. Some advisory work is undertaken based on an hourly rate of £200 per hour plus VAT.

Typical fees are as follows:

Preliminary Hearing (Case Management): £750 plus VAT

Full/Preliminary Hearing (one day): £1750 plus VAT

Two Day Hearing: £2000 plus VAT Brief Fee. £1000 plus VAT refresher for each day after day one.

Three Day Hearing: £3000 plus VAT Brief Fee. £1000 plus VAT refresher for each day after day one

Four Day Hearing: £4000 plus VAT Brief Fee. £1000 plus VAT refresher for each day after day one

Five Day Hearing – £5000 plus VAT Brief Fee. £1000 plus VAT refresher for each day after day one.

Hearings longer than five days are priced individually.

A brief fee is a payment in respect of the preparation for the hearing and includes the first day of the hearing.

A refresher is a payment for attendance for any day after the first day of the hearing.

If you wish to have a conference, I would typically charge £500 plus VAT in respect of a conference with around 1-2 hours of preparation. Conferences with greater complexity, in terms of the law or in respect of reading time, can cost around £1000 plus VAT and occasionally more.
